The Baobab Tree - Tree of Life

Baobab Seed Oil
Baobab seed oil comes from the Baobab tree. This giant African tree can be up to 82 feet high and 46 feet in diameter. Often called the Tree of Life because its trunk can hold up to 1800 gallons of rain water, the trunk is so huge it can shelter 40 people inside, and it can live more than a thousand years.
The tree produces large white flowers and a large egg-shaped fruit with a hard outer shell. Baobab seed is made by cold pressing the seed of the fruit. (Extraction through heat produces a less desirable oil.)
So what’s so great about Baobab Seed Oil? It is highly penetrating, deeply nourishing and softens dry skin. Has been known to restore and remoisturize the epidermis. Baobab has a high content of fatty acids (oleic, linoleic, linolenic, palmitic and stearic) and is rich in Vitamin E. Slightly nutty aroma.
